The research aims to compare the concentration of heavy metal (Cr, Cd, Pb) in water and shells between ecosystems in Tallo river, Makassar at high and low tide within two months from June to August 2021. The method used was sampling according to the place when high and low tide. The results showed that the waters were contaminated with heavy metals Pb and Cr at three stations namely rivers, estuarie, and beaches with Pb values = 0.11 mg/L in rivers, Cr = 0.12 mg/L, Pb = 0.13 mg/L in estuaries, and Cr = 0.11 mg/L at the beach. The highest content of heavy metal Pb was in shellfish in the river with a value of 3.23 mg/Kg. The measured environmental parameters are still in normal conditions. There are plankton as water bioindicators possibly causing plankton blooms and diseases for aquatic biota (fish) such as Prorocentrum. sp of the class Dinoflagellates
ER -
