Copyright Notice for JEBE: Journal of Environment Behavior and Engineering

1. Ownership

The copyright of all articles published in JEBE remains with the authors. By submitting to JEBE, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive their work.


2. Licensing

All articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This permits:

  • Sharing: Copying and redistributing the material in any medium or format.

  • Adaptation: Remixing, transforming, or building upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.

  • Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit, link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.


3. Permissions

  • Authors must obtain written permission from copyright holders to reproduce any third-party content (e.g., figures, tables, or text excerpts) in their submissions.

  • Proof of permission must be submitted alongside the manuscript.


4. Archiving

By submitting to JEBE, authors agree to:

  • Permanent digital archiving via LOCKSS/CLOCKSS systems.

  • Inclusion in Universitas Bosowa’s institutional repository.

  • Indexing by global databases (e.g., Crossref, DOAJ).


5. Author Reproduction Rights

Authors retain the right to:

  • Use their article in teaching, conferences, or professional workshops.

  • Include the work in dissertations or thesis compilations.

  • Share preprints/postprints on personal websites or institutional repositories.
    Condition: Full citation to the original JEBE publication must be included (e.g., “Originally published in JEBE: [DOI link]”).


6. Third-Party Reuse

  • Third parties must contact the corresponding author for reuse beyond CC BY 4.0 terms.

  • Unauthorized commercial use or unattributed reproduction constitutes copyright infringement.


7. Disclaimer

  • Views expressed in JEBE articles belong solely to the authors and do not necessarily reflect the journal’s editorial board or Universitas Bosowa.

  • JEBE is not liable for errors, omissions, or ethical breaches in published content.


8. Protection

  • Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of JEBE content is prohibited without written consent from the authors.

  • Legal action may be pursued for violations of Indonesian copyright law (UU No. 28/2014) or international IP regulations.


9. Ethical Compliance

JEBE adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Authors must ensure their submissions comply with ethical standards for environmental research, including:

  • Proper citation of Indigenous knowledge or community-based data.

  • Transparency in conflicts of interest related to environmental policy or industry funding.
