Hubungan Antara Dimensi Kepribadian Big Five Dengan Kecenderungan Kecanduan Game Online pada Remaja di Kota Makassar

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dimensi kepribadian big five dengan kecenderungan kecanduan game online pada remaja di kota Makassar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif non-parametrik. Partisipam (n=423) dalam peneletian ini menggunakan remaja laki-laki dan perempuan yang memiliki rentang usia 16-20 tahun dan telah memainkan game online 4 jam dalam satu hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala internasional personality item pool big five markers 50 yang telah diadaptasi dan skala kecanduan game online. Teknik analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji korelasi spearman Rank. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan, antara lain tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dimensi extraversion dengan kecenderungan kecanduan game online pada remaja di kota Makassar (r=0.056 ;p=0.347), terdapat hubungan negative antara dimensi agreeableness dengan kecenderungan kecanduan game online terhadap remaja (r=-0.326 ;p=0.00), terdapat hubungan negative antara dimensi Concientiousness dengan kecenderungan kecanduan game online terhadap remaja (r=-0.136; p=0.00), terdapat hubungan negative antara dimensi Emotional Stability dengan kecenderungan kecanduan game online terhadap remaja (r=-0.238 ; p=0.00), terdapat hubungan negative antara dimensi Intellect dengan kecenderungan kecanduan game online terhadap remaja (r=-0.432 ;p=0.00). Hasil penelitian ini juga memberikan tambahan informasi baru tentang data kecenderungan kecanduan game online pada remaja berdasarkan demografinya.
