Threat Perception Dalam Health Belief Models (HBM) Sebagai Prediktor Perilaku Merokok Masyarakat Kota Makassar

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah persepsi kerentanan dan persepsi keparahan sebagai Threat Perception dalam Health Belief Models (HBM) dapat menjadi prediktor pada perilaku merokok masyarakat kota Makassar. Responden pada penelitian ini ialah sebanyak 611 perokok di Kota Makassar. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala perilaku merokok dan skala Health Belief Models (HBM) yang dikonstruk oleh peneliti berdasarkan setiap komponen variabel perilaku merokok oleh Glover & Nilson (2005) dan variabel Health Belief Models (HBM) oleh Rosenstock (1974). Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi kerentanan dapat menjadi prediktor perilaku merokok dengan nilai signifikansi (p = 0.000; p < 0.005) dan kontribusi sebesar 21.6%. Sedangkan, persepsi keparahan dapat menjadi prediktor perilaku merokok dengan nilai signifikansi (p = 0.000; p < 0.005) dan kontribusi sebesar 22%. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini ialah persepsi kerentanan dan persepsi keparahan sebagai Threat Perception dalam Health Belief Models (HBM) dapat menjadi prediktor perilaku merokok masyarakat kota Makassar.
