Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh thin ideal internalization terhadap body dissatisfaction pada perempuan dewasa awal dan mengetahui gratitude berperan sebagai moderator antara thin ideal internalization terhadap body dissatisfaction pada perempuan dewasa awal. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 406 perempuan usia 18 hingga 25 tahun. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan antara lain skala Body Shape Questionnaire, skala The Sosiocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionnaire-4-Revised (SATAQ-4R) dan skala Gratitude Resentment and Appreciation Scale (GRAT). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linear sederhana dan analisis regresi moderator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh Thin Ideal Internalization terhadap Body Dissatisfaction pada perempuan dewasa awal di Kota Makassar sebesar 51,8% (Sig. 0.000) dengan arah pengaruh positif, artinya semakin tinggi Thin Ideal Internalization maka akan membuat Body Dissatisfaction semakin meingkat, begitupun sebaliknya. Hasil penelitian lainnya yang ditemukan yaitu gratitude tidak memoderasi Thin Ideal Internalization terhadap Body Dissatisfaction pada perempuan dewasa awal di Kota Makassar dengan nilai signifikansi 0.978>0.05.
