Archiving

PKP Preservation Network (PN) The PKP Preservation Network (PN) provides free preservation services for any OJS journal that meets a few basic criteria. The PKP PN plugin for OJS 3 is currently in development and will be available in the plugin gallery soon. LOCKSS Open Journal Systems supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and permanent archive for journal content. If your journal has been accepted to archive content in the Global LOCKSS Network or participates in a Private LOCKSS Network other than the PKP PN, enable it here:

Open Journal Systems supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and permanent archive for the journal. LOCKSS is open source software developed at Stanford University Library that enables libraries to preserve selected web journals by regularly polling registered journal websites for newly published content and archiving it. Each archive is continually validated against other library caches, and if content is found to be corrupted or lost, the other caches or the journal is used to restore it.

Enable LOCKSS to store and distribute journal content at participating libraries via a LOCKSS Publisher Manifest

CLOCKSSOpen Journal Systems also supports the CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and permanent archive for the journal. If your journal signed a contract with the CLOCKSS Archive, enable it here:
